Wow, long time, no update...

Well, I've been busy lately, doing stuff with friends and other things like that. Firstly, Joe and I decided that we're going to be friends with minimum benefits. Meaning, like, we can make out if we want to. Because we're freaks of nature like that. Secondly, me, Joe, and Halie made a pinata last week. We worked on it on Thursday night for two hours, and then I went over to his house on Friday and we worked on it from about 11:45 until 3:30, when I left to go see "The Notebook" with Liesl. Then I came back around 7:30, and we finished it up, and then just hung out until around 9:30 when Halie and I put the pinata in my trunk and headed off to Merna to drop Halie and the pinata off. Except...we never made it to Merna.

We were driving down College Avenue, just having a general good time, listening to our theme song (Girl All The Bad Guys Want by Bowling for Soup), and checking out the hot college boys. Well, down by Jewel Osco, this white SUV pulled up next to us, and it was filled with hott college boys who were hitting on us. So we turned up our music a little, and drove on...this turned into a mini drag-race down part of Veterans Parkway, until we got to the intersection of Veterans and I think...the street right after the intersection of Veterans and College, if you're headed south on Veterans. We got stopped at a red light, and turned down our music and had a conversation with the boys. It was one of their birthdays, so we wished him a happy birthday, and went on our merry way. We then came to the intersection of Veteran's and GE Road, where we were going to turn left, so we could head towards Towanda Barnes Road, so I could take Halie home. Well, we were at the stop light, waiting for our arrow to turn green, and when it did, I looked all ways, and proceeded cauciously at around 25-30 mph (the usual turning speed). All of the sudden, Halie screams "STACY!" and I look to my right, and there is a red 2001 Ford Focus coming straight for us. I couldn't do jack shit to get out of the way, so the next thing I know, the Focus hits the front of my car, I throw my right arm in front of Halie so she doesn't go flying forward, and we go spinning in the opposite direction, stopping right on a triangle median kind of by Walgreen's. I had hit my head on the steering wheel, and was freaking out cuz I couldn't see (due to my glasses falling off in the commotion). Halie was asking over and over again if she should call 911, but I wasn't responding, due I think to shock. I put my foot on the break to keep us from moving, and turned on my four-ways and put the car in park. I then realized the car was smoking, and using my great deductive skills, figured out that my radiator was cracked. At that point in time, I was crying my eyes out, in a lot of pain, and Halie was calling 911. Some lady came up to the car and told us that she had already called 911 and that we should get out of the car since the hood was smoking. Well, Halie got out no problem, and immediatly called Billy's mom to get Corey's cell number so she could get a message to Billy. I, on the other hand, couldn't get out, due to my door being stuck. So, I turned off the car, and climbed out the passsenger side, all the while screaming because my shoulders, neck, back, and knee hurt. The lady made me stand up outside of the car, while we waited for the police and the ambulances. At this time, the other chick who had hit us got out of her car, and said "I had a green light, why did I get hit?" Okay, wtf, maybe it was green 400 feet back, but you, missy, were going WAY above the speed limit, and it definately turned red. Then she told the cops that I was speeding. WTF, if you have EVER driven with me, you know that I am a speed limit nazi. I follow those things to a T. Anyways, so the EMT comes up to me tells me to sit in the passenger seat so I get the weight off my knee, and asks for my car insurance and my license. Well, during all of this, my purse went missing. I got the insurance card out of the glove compartment, but I couldn't give him my license cuz we didn't know where my purse was. Then they strapped me to a backboard, put a neck brace on me, and taped my forehead down, and put me on a gurney. Then they put me in an ambulance and took me to Bromenn, while they took Halie to St. Joe's, and the other chick to Bromenn. I was at the hospital for a while before my parents got there, the whole time strapped to the board, without pain meds, because they couldn't do anything until my parents signed a bunch of papers. Well, my mom and dad showed up, they signed the papers, the doctor unstraps me, the nurse steals my shirt and bra and gives me a paper thingie, and shoves a vicadin down my throat. Then I laid on the bed for a long time, and my dad left to go get my medicaid card, and my mom sat with me. Then I made my mom go call St. Joe's so I could find out how Halie was doing, and the other girl's mom came in and sat with me. Then the cops came in and interviewed me, and then I went in and got a bunch of X-Rays taken. When I got back to my little room, my daddy had come back, bearing a jacket for me to wear when we left, and my stuffed cheshire cat, since he couldn't bring me my kitten. After a bit, the doctor came in, said I was good to go, gave my parents some vicadin for me to take home, and sent us on our merry way home. I went into the ER at 10:30, and didn't get home until 1:30. Then I went to sleep, and when I woke up this morning, I had a huge seatbelt burn on my chest, another one on my arm where I threw my arm in front of Halie, a black eye, and a bruise on my right boob. I have to wear a tank top for awhile, since I can't have anything touching my burn. It kinda sucks, if you ask me.

No tickets were issued, and my parents are getting me a new car. The pinata is fine.

Well, I'm really tired, so I'm going to go to bed now.

Love,
Stacy
